About Cristain & Samuel
The 2005 year marked a new beginning for Recording Artists, Cristian Mogosan and Samuel Druhora releasing their first album together “Panis Angelicus”.
Music in the 21st century is continuously braking down boundaries, and “Panis Angelicus” has done just that, creating a whole new genre of pure classical orchestration with a mild twist of pop-rock, an "opera cross-over". This compilation of great Religious and Traditional classics as well as original pieces written and produced by the two artists themselves bring forth a new audience Christian opera lovers from around the world. The title “Panis Angelicus” comes from original Latin meaning, Bread of Angels. Written by Cezar Frank in the mid 1800’s, it is a call to the body of Christ. The album is a Production of Palagia Entertianment (www.palagya.com) with original arrangements done by Stefan Novac conducting the Dinu Lipanti Philharmonic Orchestra of Satu Mare, RO.
Born in Cluj-Napoca, RO Cristian Mogosan is a deep rooted musical guru who has written and recorded songs with various artists in Romania and the US. Being the oldest child among three, Cristian grew up studying piano and french horn under the guidance of his father, professor and International Opera Star, Dr. George Mogosan. Cristian’s remarkable vocal talents earned him 1st place in The 2004 Romanian Lied Competition along with Honors during the 2005 "Hariclea Darcle" Voice Competition. In 2006 Cristian graduated from The George Dima Music Conservatory with a debut performance of Rodolfo in “La Boheme”. Cristian has since performed live the classical masterpieces of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, along with his 2007 debut in Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" at the Romanian National Opera of Cluj Napoca. As former lead tenor for the Gospel music groups, Transylvania Gospel and Shalom, Cristian recorded and performed all over Romania, EU and the UK. Cristian is currently completing his Masters along with an undergrad Stage Director program.
Also born in Cluj, Samuel Druhora is the first cousin of Cristian Mogosan. Samuel’s first encounter with music came after a Missouri (US) church choir audition with Dr. Daniel Gadalean in 2002. Samuel began his vocal discovery under the guidance of Dr. Gadalean auditioning for the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University. Samuel’s remarkable vocal abilities earned him acceptance at the Conservatory for the 2003-2004 year under the guidance of Professor and International Opera Star, Michael Best. In 2004, Samuel transferred to the George Dima Music Conservatory to study alongside Cristian, Dr. George Mogosan and Dr. Alexandru Farcas, Director of the Romanian National Opera of Cluj-Napoca. During his studies Samuel recorded and toured throughout Romania with various artists performing live songs and arias for the 2004 Tsunami Relief Fund. Currently Samuel is working on his debut performance of “Candide” and is expected complete his degree at the Conservatory in 2008.
Following the 2006 release of “Panis Angelicus”, Cristian and Samuel have toured to over 20 major cities of the US and European countries of, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, and Spain performing live at the National Opera House and other Organizations. Cristian and Samuel are working on their second album expected to be released fall 2008 in the US and EU, along with a Christmas Album in December 2007.
