Rene Patrique has been playing the keys since his early childhood-days. As a teenager, he discovered the musical powers and possibillities of his first personal-computer. Fascinated of synthesizing and sampling, he produced his first 4-Track-DEMO in 1994 in collaboration with an older friend who introduced René into the world of the music that was simply called "techno" in those days... Then he could finally afford his first analogue synthesizer: Immediately, when he modulated the sounds he passionately danced to in the clubs before, he knew what his future would be like: A year later he started DJing and, in 1996, he organized first parties in Gladbeck (Germany) in a tiny Club called "Halde 4". There he played house music together with friends like "sid marween" (www.metrosoul.net). By means of different projects, he experimented with different styles of music: As a keyboarder or percussionist, he had sessions with a Funk-Rock-Band; later he got into text- + song-writing and performed his songs on gigs with friends. During the time of his alternative community service, he worked in an arts an leisure center in his hometown called "MAXUS" - after his main-job he organized several events there: In this time the "Oszillator-Partys" were born. The concept underlying those events was inviting friends to play their music and thereby supporting the local music-scene for a few years. Meanwhile, he honorary worked as an editor for a small local internet-site where dates of local and regional parties and concerts were posted as well as reviews and previews. After his journey into sound, he finally returned to his first love - composing that kind of electronic music that always was and still is his passion - forward ever, backward never !! In the beginning of 2006 he started his NetLabel www.oszillator-records.com to feature friends like Christian Paga (who won the DAFT PUNK RMX Contest in 2005) and released some of his own work as PROMO under a creative commons license. More Oszillator-Tunes will be available @ www.wasabeat.com soon: An upcoming bilingual mp3-shop (japanese/english) based in Tokyo/Japan. This spring, he took part at a Remix-Contest and was one of the winners: His Remix of the tune "moon" by "nude" (www.nude-music.com) convinced the judges and was released via www.beatport.com and over www.itunes.com as well this june. The Label www.pearldiver-records.com fell in love with his sounds and signed rené's tune "volée", which was released as a 12"-Vinyl in July 2006. Artists of his NetLabel www.OSZILLATOR-RECORDS.com remixed the Act "Auto-Auto" (SubstreamRec./Sweden), who was nominated for the scandinavian Alternative Music Award this year. www.OSZILLATOR-RECORDS.com is about to cooperate with the japanese online-distributor www.wasabeat.jp to spread their music into the whole world. His Remix of the Tune "OmMani" for the Californian Band "Techno Squirrels" (RavePoliceRecords/California) was released the 4th September 2006 and is his first physical release outside of Europe. DJ Friction (BBC Asian Network) had this Remix on rotation and played it for millions of listeners. 2007 he DJed @ the LOVE PARADE in Essen, Germany and on the biggest After-Show-Rave in the famous "Grugahalle" in Essen, Germany. End of 2007, he successfully released his "Phonautique EP" on Pearldiver Records (GER) - NOW AVAILABLE IN ALL MAJOR MP3 SHOPS !!! We'll see where the future will take him to... Stay tuned...
