About Cell Division





CELL DIVISION tells the story of Lisa, a young, disturbed girl with a strange obsession about Plato who is desperately searching for love, believing that everyone is “out there looking for their other half--their other cell.” Severely mocked by her classmates and shunned by everyone else around her, our depressed heroine brightens up when she finally meets a charming guy that seems to enjoy her company. Will Lisa’s obsessive ways scare him away, or has she truly encountered her destined “divided cell”?

Dear miss Tania Raymond,

I've seen your short film, and it's very interesting. I liked it, it's a piece full of youthness and rich of feeling. Also with a touch of surrealism, I think (is it true, is it a wanted effect or not?)
I'm an italian filmcritic and writer, my name is Gianluca Pulsoni, and I would like to know something else about this short film and about others your productions, if it is possible. Because I've some contacts with italian movie festivals (long and short movies, but especially festivals based on experimental and different works) and I would like to suggest your works to my friends who are selectors in this festivals. So, if it’s possible to have a copy of your work in dvd and talk with you by mails for an interview/conversation… it would be great for me.
